Volunteer Program Requirements

  • Completed Application - Jr. Volunteer Application or Non Jr. Volunteer Application
  • Interview with Volunteer Coordinator
  • Background Check - Confidential check requested by the Volunteer Services Department
  • Health Screening provided at no cost through Employee Health – Volunteers must have proof of completion for the following requirements prior to volunteering:  two negative TB tests, negative drug screen, history of immunizations/MMR, and Flu Vaccination (annually during flu season as designated by STH)
  • Volunteer Orientation and Training - Provided upon acceptance into the program
  • Service Hours Commitment - Hospital volunteers should be able and willing to commit 4 hours a week for a minimum of 4 months.  Hour commitment subject to change based on service area needs.
