Meet Our Residents

Taylor Gish (University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy)

I chose Saint Thomas West because of the location in Nashville and the variety of rotations/packages offered. I'm interested in infectious diseases and academia.

Catherine Nguyen (University of Nebraska College of Pharmacy)

I was initially interested in Saint Thomas West because of the variety of rotations they offer, but what really pulled me in was the opportunity to participate in both the inpatient and clinic world of transplant. When I’m not dosing vancomycin, I enjoy visiting my husband up in Maine, going to barre classes, and watching squirrels.

Kevin Phan (Belmont University College of Pharmacy)

I had a wonderful experience here at Saint Thomas West as a pharmacy student on my APPEs that included critical care, internal medicine, and medication management.  I got to be part of a layered-learning model as well as amazing interdisciplinary teams that emphasized the role of pharmacists in patient care. I am humbled by the opportunity to come back as a resident to learn from and work with such a fun and dedicated pharmacy team.

Kayla Scheps (South University School of Pharmacy)

I chose Saint Thomas West because of the welcoming environment and the wide selection of electives to choose from. I am interested in Infectious Diseases, Transplant, and Critical Care.

Braydon Smith (South University School of Pharmacy)

I chose Saint Thomas West because of the unique variety of rotations available to the residents. I also chose it because of the incredible, smart people that I would be able to learn from. Another big draw for me was the size of Saint Thomas West Hospital. It's big enough to support multiple areas of medicine, but small enough to feel like a community.

Yulonda Warren (Belmont University College of Pharmacy)

I chose Saint Thomas West because of the welcoming and supportive environment, the opportunity to precept students, and the option to participate in a teaching certificate program through Belmont University. My interests include ambulatory care, internal medicine and academia.
