Oran Aaronson, MD

Oran Aaronson, MD

Dr. Aaronson was born in London, England. Completed undergraduate studies with First Class Honors at the University of London, Kings College and obtained his medical degree at the University of London, St. Bartholomew's Hospital in 1997. He also completed a Masters of Management in Healthcare degree at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management where he received the Dean's Award.

His post graduate training was done at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he completed an internship in general Surgery and residency in neurosurgery in 2004. From 2004 until 2016 he was an attending neurosurgeon and faculty member at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In addition to having a busy practice treating patients with a focus on spinal conditions, he was the Chief of Neurosurgery at the Nashville Veteran's Hospital and the Residency Program Director in charge of training the next generation of neurosurgeons.

Most recently he was the Medical Director of the Vanderbilt Spine Center. In 2017 he joined the Howell Allen Clinic which is affiliated with St. Thomas Health and continue to provide comprehensive personalized spine care.

Dr. Culclasure is a native of St. Matthews, SC, and the father of three. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston) and completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He was chosen as the outstanding resident in anesthesiology at Walter Reed in 1989. Dr. Culclasure is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
