Dr. Johns has been a team physician for the Rutherford County high school athletics and MTSU for over 30 years. Dr. Johns received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1972 and had a fellowship with Vanderbilt University Hospital and Nashville Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville. He completed research in Scoliosis and Gait Analysis Laboratory.
Dr. Johns' expertise in Sports Medicine has driven him to also be active in sports training programs at MTSU, where he helped to develop the programs. Dr. Johns works also in arthroscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and total knee arthroplasty.
