Dr. Perkins founded Tennessee Medicine and Pediatrics, PC in 2000 with the goal of providing comprehensive healthcare across all age groups. Being board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics allows Dr. Perkins to keep the whole person as well as the whole family in perspective when overseeing and coordinating the healthcare needs of his patients. After earning his bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University and his medical degree from the University of Louisville, Dr. Perkins completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Perkins is an active member of the medical staff at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, StoneCrest Medical Center, and the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. He enjoys appointment to Vanderbilt School of Medicine's volunteer clinical faculty as well as election to the boards of The Stone River Regional Independent Practice Association and the State Volunteer Mutual Insurance Company.
A native of Frankfort, Kentucky, Dr. Perkins enjoys cycling, target shooting, mission trips to Nicaragua, and charity activities. He and his wife Mishelle enjoy an active lifestyle with their four children in Murfreesboro.
